The original edition of this book is the fruit of seven years’ labor, during which 150 of the best Israeli artists were selected to participate in the project. Each of the artists received a Psalm from David’s Book of Psalms, and after thorough study of the Psalm and its interpretations, the artist expressed the Psalm’s essence on canvas.
613 copies of the original book were created as the number of “Mitzvot” in the Torah. Each and every painting that was printed in the original edition was signed personally by the artist that created it.
The original edition weighed 7.2 Kg and measured 44 X 33.5 cm.
Special paper from Italy was used for the content and the binding was fashioned from genuine Italian leather.
The sewing and binding were done manually and the printing was up to the highest standards in the industry.
